This fan looks good, works great and shipping was fast. BUT; Instructions are minimal and apparently translated into English by non-English speakers. There is no manual switch for fan control or reverse, although a pull chain for such a switch is shown; The fan is only controlled by the remote control. A chain is provided for the lamps, which changes the number of lamps that are switched on. The light is switched on and off via the remote control. I bought a 24" ground rod locally and found that the ground screw hole was slightly offset from where it was needed, making it almost unusable. Although I was able to add a wall switch for the lights by inserting a blue hot wire. Cables, it's not designed for that, and you can't turn off the light with the remote when it's on with the wall switch, overall not typical DIY.
