During assembly, part of the screen material is pulled out. When I fitted it to my new screen door it pulled the screen completely out of the frame which could not be tensioned back into place. This required a complete replacement of the screen material in my Arcadia door screen. When I installed the new screen, I installed the dog flap before trimming the excess screen material around the slots. I then had enough uncut footage to plug it back in without pulling it out again. To make matters worse, the magnet was not glued to the frame when it was received. I wrongly assumed that the magnetic retention system consisted of a magnet in the frame and a piece of steel in the valve. There is actually a different magnet in the valve so when I glued the magnet back into the frame it was the wrong way around so the magnets actually repelled each other which resulted in me having to take it apart again and glue the magnet back on. Correct north/south orientation. I think this will finally work well, but I'd love to spend more on a better design and not have to spend money and time rescreening the door.
