Having recently bought a Nikon Z6, I needed a card reader for XQD style cards. There were many options, but I wanted a specialized reader, not a multi-format reader. The aluminum construction is smooth and feels like it's more durable when dropped on the ground. Heating up hasn't been a problem either, even with constant access to the inserted card. Transfer speeds are fast with a USB 3.0-enabled cable, and I'd expect it to be just as fast with the included USB-C adapter. Another nice feature is the shorter cable. You no longer need a 2ft cable for laptops and most desktops these days, making it easy to carry. I plan to buy a second one so I can have one in my main camera bag and one at home on my workstation.
