I have had Speakman heads for over 15 years. My original Anystream heads started failing when the small o-ring on the flow restrictor started to loosen. As a result, you have WAY too much flow (it felt like I was in a spa, but it was a waste of water). This happened to two different heads and surprisingly both had the same problem about a year apart. I couldn't find a replacement O-ring and the company told me there were no replacement parts for this head, so I was forced to buy a new S-2252. What I like about this head is that it's almost ALL METAL. No plastic housing, no plastic fittings. The only plastic in"guts". So the thing is very heavy and very high quality. The spray controls work just like my original Speakmans. I usually use it on the hardest setting, but you can tone down the force just by twisting the lever. The big downside I found was that once installed it is very difficult to change the angle of this head. If you have short and tall people sharing the same shower, or if you like changing angles when showering, you may not like this nozzle. It can be changed but requires a lot of force/torque on the head and can stress the pipes depending on the installation. Just very hard. I'm still hoping this will loosen up over time, but after a few months I haven't noticed much of an improvement. In fact, I do it with two hands because I'm afraid of bending something. So buyers beware!
