Half of what I expected
I bought a Dell E5540 for my Dell laptop and it works. The problem I have is that it only works to power your laptop but is not powerful enough to charge the battery. I ended up spending $25 on a genuine Dell AC adapter charger (LA65NM130) and the battery worked. If you have a laptop and don't have a battery, buy one, but if you have it and want to use it to charge and power your laptop, get a Dell AC adapter. Charger (LA65NM130).
