The performance of the lights is excellent. for fixtures of this size/volume as they are flat arrays of LED panels. While I don't have a light meter to measure lumens, I've used it for several creative projects (including an example with ONE panel on the right side of the model with the panel at 65-70% brightness with 100% red saturation and shot with AD400 diffuse Flash at 1/4 power and color saturation retention VERY GOOD Flashes tend to wash out color saturation on a weak color source but managed to retain color very well with the model's 400w flash, especially since I used batteries for this one Shooting and that using batteries reduces light output compared to DC power Thousands of dollars I've found that the output power is slightly reduced by say 1/3 light output (inaccurate estimate as I don't have a flashlight p) but reduces in the Comparison to using the supplied DC power adapter. The controls are easy to understand and use, both on the back of the panel and in the Neewer app, which is available for both Android and iPhone. The controls on the back are also simple: an on/off switch (battery or DC switch) and two knobs (one can be pressed to toggle between spectrum and saturation, the other for overall brightness) and a mode button that toggles through the settings and changes scenes. They are detachable in case you need to take them off, not sure why you would when you can open them wide but you can. The coasters are generally better than I expected. Springy, stable and a bit mid-weight, I was expecting lighter struts and was pleasantly surprised. They are more than enough for a light weight and can handle heavier loads without bending. The carrying case perfectly fits everything in one place: stands, panels, power supplies, mounts and batteries (included or not, it fits them).
