Doesn't last long at all!

I bought these for my astrophotographic setup about 3 months ago. I run all my gear, mount, lead camera, main camera, flat and panel master poles through. In terms of speed, everything worked great, including steering, streaming video from the pole master, turning, recording and uploading images. So it seemed like a wonderful topic. I've only used it 8 times but tonight after honing my setup for over an hour all my hardware started to fail, my laptop would blue screen and reboot, the ASCOM driver started crashing and lots more more. It took me a while to see the USB hub keep losing and reconnecting the USB data connection. I removed the power adapter and found to my horror that the USB input jack (the part that goes from the hub to the computer) has become extremely fragile. It takes a lot of fiddling with the USB cable to plug it in, and then the slightest touch turns everything back off! Now this is a problem as the mount has to be rotated (or at least tracked) to different positions which causes small movements of the attached USB cables that break all connections and destroy the mount, camera, rail, everything. So, this device is now completely useless to me, luckily Revane has agreed to take it back.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
