This type of case offers ample protection for whatever you put inside. I bought this size specifically for traveling with sensitive optical gear. It offers enough space for equipment with plenty of space between equipment and case shell. The exterior of the case is pretty solid, and its hinges and latches are secure as well. I particularly like the combination of wheels and retractable handle on the body. It is similar in size to a large carry-on suitcase and just as comfortable to use. After all, there are so many durable, weatherproof cases that come in black or black, which is why I bought the bright blue. It definitely stands out and in person the blue is even lighter than in the photos.
