Review on Bubba Licorice Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel by Ethan Delaney

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's Bubba but it's not shrimp

I didn't believe it. I'm from Boston. Nobody here says "Bubba" unless it's "Forrest Gump". But across all Trip Advisors, one mug stood out, and no, it wasn't the Holy Grail. The humble Bubba mug has been the subject of many topics. Some people say they don't belong at an all-inclusive resort -- others protested, saying it's the best way to justify their money. Rather worth my friend's money from my recent stay at an all inclusive resort. Thanks to this mug, I was able to drink more than 5 cups of Pina Colada a day and nothing could stop me - until the last call. My boyfriend recently took me on vacation to the Dominican Republic. The resort we went to had paper cups — not like lazily sipping beer on the beach, sipping a pina colada by the pool, or sipping five fingers of Malibu rum while swimming during a foam party. That's where the Bubba mug came in. My friend loves beer. I love frozen cocktails. We both had the same mug in two different colors so it was easy to tell who had what. We were both VERY happy with our purchases. Neither of us tasted the metal used in the cup. There was no bad taste or aftertaste or anything. If you love straws, don't rely on your resort to provide them. Some resorts no longer offer straws, while others use crappy straws that break easily, and when you have a mug that big, it's understandable that the resort doesn't have straws long enough to meet your need. Mug, I needed a straw too, and again Bubba delivered. I bought Bubba silicone straws (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073G4PPJR/) and they match the cups perfectly. These straws are a solid 4 star product. I packed two sets so I can have a new straw every day while I wash my silicone straws at home. These straws are totally compatible with these cups. The colors of the straw match the colors of the cup. Tip: If you have straws, here's what you should do. 1.) Have a drink. 2.) Cover the mug with a lid. .) Squeeze the straw and seal the drink. 5.) The next time you open a drink, the straw is easy to remove and use. This is an easy way to solve the straw problem when you need to seal a drink that requires the use of a straw. These mugs kept our drinks dead cold and sealed. I had my friend carry our mugs while we walked twenty minutes and they didn't drip at all during the walk, even though he held the mugs with the lid perpendicular to the floor. Drinks stayed cold throughout this walk as if they had just been poured. These mugs are a bit heavy, but they saved us a lot of round trips between the bar and...well, everywhere else. The colors remind me of the 80s or maybe a 90s ski jacket. We never mistook our mugs for anyone at the resort. Others had Swell bottles, Starbucks mugs, and other popular brands that I'm sure are great. But with a colorful mug that wasn't all black, all aluminum, or regular shaped, we've never had a problem with someone accidentally grabbing our mug, or vice versa. Tip: Don't forget to remove the sealing ring and rinse it with the first wash. Do this very often. This is not a Bubba specific issue. It's just the nature of the animal. You will be surprised how disgusting it can look. These mugs are dishwasher safe and won't show discoloration from dishwasher washing or my vacation. They were not overwhelmed by the journey. Not a single detail came up. If I ever die... if... I want my ashes poured into my Bubba cup and sent into space because it's crazy cool.
