I ordered them because the landing near my bedroom was built capriciously. I've known for 23 years that I would fall down the stairs one night, and indeed I did. I ordered them the very next day. I leave my bedroom door open at night to allow my pets to come and go, but I hate the light when I'm sleeping. These motion sensors work perfectly for me. They turn on before I even reach my bedroom door, give me enough light to see where I'm stepping, and turn off when I'm back in bed. I can also place them high enough on a shelf in the hallway so my pets don't activate them while I'm sleeping. I ordered 2 so if one needs to be charged I use the second. I wish I had found her sooner!
