Let's start with the bike I installed it on. I have a 2009 Sportster XL1200C with a windshield. REMOVAL: It was easy and quick. I had to remove the windshield, but mine only had two screws. The headlight had a single screw and the connector was a three pin connector. It has two locking pins to prevent accidental disconnection (I figured it out after a few minutes). INSTALLATION: It was just as easy. I added a standard spacer ring, plugged it in and closed it. After the first ride I heard a knock. Came back to check things out and noticed that the stock light has four rubber mounts around the back of the light for exactly this. So I added something like this because the stock tires didn't fit. Now it is quiet and stable. Note: I've seen many complaints about condensation. Not for me yet, but I've only ridden it a few times. Pros: Phenomenal price, easy installation, great fit. Cons: No rubber stabilization ring on the back of the lens, condensation possible.
