First of all when it said the handle is plastic I thought hard plastic, it feels strong and I think it will last a long time. However, it is spongy, when you squeeze the grip there is a lot of give. I disassembled the previous shavette to replace the blade, which slides out. The blades are very easy to change but you have to be careful how you shave, they are mounted in the handle but they can slip, as long as you keep that in mind you won't have a problem. The blades suck, I tried shaving the box and it hurt but I did a few passes with the strap and it's a lot better. In general, this money is not bad, take an extra box of quality blades and go. I personally recommend a stainless steel handle as I have the impression that the handle can break if you don't get a good grip on it.
