I had low expectations for this solution to an aging 2007 G35 shift knob, but it really blew me away (once I figured out how to shrink it a bit). After following the installation instructions, the leather fitted well everywhere except for the button you press, which allows the switch to move out of park. It was sagging / had gaps. I tried some water and some reviewers recommended sticking it on (I didn't want a semi-permanent solution like glue). Parts need to be compressed. I wet it well, pressed the skin in place and waited for it to dry naturally. The result is a perfect fit! So if you want to spruce up your worn shift knob, grab it and do a trick to make it fit perfectly. .
