The printer thinks that the cartridge needs to be replaced after a few pages.

These "remanufactured" cartridges are so cheap compared to outrageously expensive original HP cartridges that I'd be happy if half of them worked, but my experience was even worse. My printer (HP 6310) gives me an error message that the cartridge is defective and needs to be replaced after printing a page or two multiple times (maybe 5 or 10 pages total). The cartridges still feel heavy and full of ink. Failed cartridges that fail first are usually #95. Sometimes I can clean the contacts and print head with cotton swabs dipped in alcohol and get another page or two before the cartridge fails again. More specifically, I don't think the cartridge itself is defective; rather, the HP printer "thinks” that it is defective. If this so-called all-in-one printer needs a replacement color cartridge, unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it. You can't print in black and white, you can't copy, you can't even scan or fax - until you replace the color cartridge.
