Purchased size 7-8 for my 6 year old daughter, she is slim and tall and size 5-6 suits her short length but fits well over it. I bought both sizes to see which would look better and kept the larger size 7/8 which came down to her ankles. The material is similar to that of a t-shirt, so perfect for the warm weather here in California. I bought Blue and Fuchsia, let's see how they wear out. I recommend a gentle cycle and hang dry to preserve the colour.
