This is a good option if you start without a launch pad and want to remove the objects underneath. The parts don't weigh enough to be of concern and I don't believe they create much drag in flight. The only problem is that they are quite difficult to install as they are VERY tight. There's really no reason why they should be that tight and I suspect PGYTECH just didn't test them very well during the design phase. Since you may need to remove them to store the drone, they are also difficult to remove. A foldable leg design would be a great improvement to avoid the hassle of losing weight. Conclusion: they work, but they are difficult to install and remove.
