Update - After 2 days I noticed the corner of the case kept falling off. It seems to have ripped after 2 days of use so I will be back. I am extremely disappointed. I had high hopes for this case, but it turned out to be disappointing. I'm downgrading my original rating from 4 stars to 1 star. So this year is my third keyboard case for my 9.7 inch iPad. Before that I had Zagg and an unnamed keyboard that broke after a few months of use. I was very disappointed in Zagg's case. I decided to try this to see how it works. Now I can't give a durability rating as I've only had it for a few hours. I am currently using my keyboard to write this review. Here are the pros: 1. It's easy2. The keyboard is securely attached to the device unlike other brands.3. It looks like it has a nice metal hinge that looks like it will last.4. The feel of the case is reasonable and the external texture is beautiful.5. Good rubber feet on the keyboard for grip.6. The keys are well spaced and I have no problem typing even with my strong, fat fingers.7. It was easy to connect.8. The backlit keyboard is not too bright like the others and does not protrude from under the keyboard.9. Good set of function keys on top.10. It shows the battery level on the widget screen! More expensive models don't even make it! Well, these are the advantages of the device. This keyboard also has several disadvantages.1. The Caps Lock key does not have an indicator to show that it is on. This is the first keyboard case that doesn't have this feature. I think the payoff for this is that I can see the battery level on the widget screen.2. While the latch is solid and the case overall feels reasonably solid, the iPad seems to overpower the hinge a bit and you can't open it as far as other keyboard combos. The case is not 100% correct. On the side of the iPad where there is a volume up and down, the cover doesn't quite fit. It's tight but lacks 1 or 2mm to snap securely into place. The iPad is NOT in danger of falling out, but it just feels weird to hold the iPad with the keyboard detached.4. The headphone jack is slightly offset, as are the volume buttons. While not a bad thing, some of the heavier jacks do struggle with the headphone jack. Since I'm using a Bluetooth headset, I don't have any problems with that. While cranking the volume up isn't all that difficult, turning the volume down takes a bit more effort. I can live with that. Well that's what I have so far. Depending on how things go depends on whether I upgrade these to 5 stars or downgrade a few. If the keyboard holds up I'll definitely bump it up to 5. If she fails like the others, she will leave.
