Our kitchen was a bit cramped so finding a place to store oven mitts/pot holders and kitchen towels was a bit of a struggle. I took the risk of buying this scope unnoticed, but it turned out great. I installed it at the end of our kitchen island and it holds 4 mitts with hooks and a kitchen towel over the bar. Since the counter protrudes minimally into the high traffic area, the flush design prevents hook/rod penetration. Glad we got it, the iron look goes well with the cast iron grates in our range.
