I was skeptical about this mat but ordered it to try anyway. The carpet is well made and robust. My cats love it and use it. I hung it on the wall in the corner next to the food and water bowl. It usually takes my cats a day or two to get used to something new, but with this mat, they started working within 5 minutes of hanging it up. Of course I rubbed it with catnip to attract her. I have a fairly large 20 lb cat and he loves him as do my 2 little kittens. Small kittens hang on the mat and scratch. The adhesive on the carpet is strong so it won't peel off the wall.
