This adapter works great, I tested it with my Samsung S8, if you just connect HDMI to the adapter and then to the phone, you can mirror your phone's screen. but when you add power your phone changes mode to Samsung Dex, I connected an extra keyboard to the adapter and it worked fantastic, I tested a Logitech wireless mouse but I have some lag, I'm not sure if it was caused by adapter or mouse antenna, probably bluetooth - with a mouse you should work with any latency, in my opinion a great option compared to a dex panel or dex station, you only pay a fraction and gets the same results.
