KZ is starting to improve their game and it's clear they are listening to customer feedback. The furthest thing from a typical KZ is a cool V-shaped handwriting, but I don't think that's a bad thing. I find it interesting that KZ has begun to respond to complaints from some listeners about some high end harshness on some models. This was particularly noticeable on the ZS6. As with all KZ IEMs, I recommend tweaking the EQ a bit to tame any annoyance in any part of the frequency response. With the ZS10, however, the KZ achieved a fairly balanced sound performance, albeit remaining slightly V-shaped. It's really hard for me to find something that's really lacking in sound. The addition of a dynamic driver similar to the ZSR provides a natural sounding performance not found in all IEMs with a balanced armature driver. However, if I have to complain, the high-end is almost too low. It was like KZ overcompensated a bit in taming the highs. It's nothing a quick EQ adjustment can't solve. For the price, the sound quality really can't be beat. Structure and aesthetics: What can I say. These are some of the coolest headphones I've ever seen. I like it when the custom PCB is visible. The quality of the bowls seems to be ok. What sets them apart from previous KZ headphones is that they actually contain a high-quality braided cable, which was once an upgrade option that many bought separately. Comfort: These headphones are very comfortable when using the correct tip size. I prefer to use the foam ear tips with the IEM than the silicone ear tips that come with the kit. If you're familiar with the KZ ZSR, landing feels about the same to my ears. Although side by side the ZS10 is larger.
