I was hoping that these pointed Pangda Q-Tips would be firm enough to hold their shape when cleaning small crevices and I wasn't disappointed. These swabs are 3 1/8 inches (8 cm) long with 1/2 inch (13 mm) cotton tips. The sticks are only slightly flexible and are made of recycled paper. Most cotton swabs are hard, too hard to use in the inner corner of the eye, for example. The cotton is tightly wound and will not soften when immersed in cleaning liquid or water. They're absorbent enough to get the job done but remain tough enough to be cleaned. They can be used to correct eye makeup or for other cosmetic purposes, but I prefer thin Japanese cotton swabs for this. The rigidity of these pointed swabs makes them excellent for cleaning. Sometimes there are tips that are too soft for my purposes, but most are hard. The tampons come in two packs of 200 in a large zipped bag.
