Review on Upcycled Women's Handbags & Wallets by Vera Bradley with Smartphone Protection by Shannon Reynolds

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love this little bracelet

90% of the time I only carry my phone (iPhone X) in a wallet and car keys. Nothing more. I use ApplePay and Walmart Pay almost everywhere I go/live, and I keep my driver's license and spare debit card in my phone case just in case. I'm not the girl who carries around 5 pounds of makeup, a box of tissues and a kitchen sink every time she leaves the house. (Seriously, what these women are carrying around in these handbags is what I see everywhere — they look like duffel bags!) Like I said, my phone is in my pocket and I'm out the door. No emergency is so bad that I have to lug around 20 pounds of "just in case" stuff in my holdall all day. I have good wallets and sometimes I carry a good wallet, I just don't see the point or need it every day :) Subscribe to VB Phone Wristlet. I love it! It's small, simple, stylish. In this case, I keep all my "real" cards plus paper money and some trinkets in a zip-top coin pouch. My iPhone X in a wallet case (no folio, just 2 slots on the back) fits perfectly in the front phone case. Now you may be wondering if I don't carry a wallet and only use my phone when I'm not at home for shopping/business/professional work, why do I need a bracelet? A) I have lots of debit/credit cards and this gives me the ability to keep them all in a small wallet (holds 2 in each slot) that also fits my phone when I go somewhere that I use more than just my phone need. Mostly traveling and weekend trips away from our hometown. Even though I live in a very tech-savvy area and Apple Pay/Samsung Pay/Android Pay is accepted literally everywhere (at least here), there are small rural towns across America that are lagging behind in technology, lol. I certainly don't blame them for the costs associated with upgrading point-of-sale devices to accept digital payments, especially if you're a small family business. Seriously, a small family run restaurant we stopped at for lunch on one of our trips didn't even accept physical cards! in 2018! No debit cards, no credit cards, nothing. Cash only and no more than $20. It was like an episode from The Twilight Zone. Music (Dodo, Dodo). Luckily my husband had some cash with him otherwise we would have done the dishes that night lol. to more rural areas (bless their little hearts). I have a wristband so I can carry more physical cards and more importantly "cash" with me in case we end up in the Twilight Zone again. :)
