I had the previous duvet for 13 years and it fell apart. Feathers are everywhere! I had to get a new duvet. I read a lot of reviews about duvets and decided on this one. It arrived in a few days, was solid but I don't find it too heavy nor too warm (I'm hot). Feathers did not flow, everything is whole. It smelled when first opened, I let it air out outside and on my couch for 4 hours and put it in my duvet cover and after that I didn't notice any smell. I slept like a baby. It crunches slightly when I move, but doesn't bother me too much. I would recommend this blanket, it's a good price, not too heavy and keeps you warm without overheating. Not sure how it will be in the summer months but perfect for fall weather, I keep my place cool at around 68.
