Great electric toothbrush

My dentist has been suggesting an electric toothbrush for years but I hesitated. So on my last visit I asked her about the real benefits and in the end she said I knew it was about time. This is the product they advertise in my dental office and I have always been grateful to be able to get it at a greatly reduced price here at Revain. Now for the toothbrush. To be honest, if you go electric, you'll never go manual again. The sense of cleanliness you get is amazing. My Pro 5000 came with a floss head which I use occasionally, but I also bought a set of delicate floss heads. I have very sensitive teeth and gums and have always used super sensitive manual toothbrushes. To be honest, it took me a while to figure out how best to use the brush for me. I always brush longer than 2 minutes so a timer is a must, but I know I brush for at least 2 minutes each time. What I like best is the pulsating yellow light when you press too hard. I was startled to see the pen flare yellow from what I thought was gentle pressure. I still have a hard time moving the brush over certain molars, and that's partly because I genuinely believe the impulse head does all the cleaning. I see people who like modern technology and gadgets who like the bluetooth app. I plug in my brush once a week to see how long I've been brushing. Otherwise I don't use it. It also took me a while to realize that I needed to put my brush on sensitive mode to treat my teeth as gently as possible. And because of their sensitivity, after I brush my teeth, yes they tingle and feel fresh, but they also hurt a little. This worries me a little but I've gotten the brush to stop flashing yellow, my gums are healthy pink and they look great. Even an hour after cleaning, the sensitivity disappears. I think it really has to do with the fact that any kind of electrical exposure certainly has more impact on my teeth than the highly sensitive hand brushes I've used. And now that I'm flossing, it's that easy. I can't wait to get my final assessment when I go back to my dentist in a few months. Bottom line, my teeth have never felt so clean with a manual toothbrush. If you're hesitant to switch to electricity, trust me, it's not hype. And this Oral B Pro 5000 has worked great for me and I've had it for 3 months now.
