The dress was purchased for PreK prom and my daughter was so happy when she chose it. The item arrived on time as promised but had a very strong odor as other buyers have stated so I expected it wouldn't be a big deal. I washed the dress on the gentle cycle which solved the problem and air dried the dress. The next day when it was time to put the dress on I had to sew the belt loops back on and the cotton thread at the bottom was dangling in many places. The dress served its purpose but I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy it due to the poor quality of the material. The dress is made of cotton and has a very cheap transparent lining, so the description is not valid. The price isn't worth buying as you can only wear it once as after the second wash the sheer thread on the lining was dangling all over the place like I put the dress in the chopper. I will post pictures of the rips right after washing.
