I have bought several of these car mounts, mostly cheap on eBay. But they always wear out and fall apart. Much better to pay a little more and get a much better product! I use a suction cup mount to attach it to the dash, which I find much more convenient than the front screen, and it hasn't been dropped since I bought it about 6 months ago. And the attitude is great! My car was broken into and stolen and I bought another one for my car and one for my wife. She refused cheap items on eBay but used this one. While the basic design is essentially the same, it's just made a lot better. I should note though that I first used the sticky pad that came with the kit to stick it to the dash and then attached the suction cup to it. After a few days, the sticky disk itself fell apart. The goo was still sticking to the dash (fine) and the holder's suction cup was still sticking to the top of the disc on the dash (ok) but the plastic portion of the disc detached from the sticky material underneath which was a surprise considering that they are merged at the factory! So I just use a suction cup against the white sticky pad on the dash. This isn't designed to be used, but it's very durable. It is also very durable with very low vibration while driving. Definitely recommended! However, I have to insert and remove the phone with both hands. I use a Samsung Galaxy Note II in a relatively large case (Ballistic).
