Review on 🚰 Enhanced Drainage Outlet Connector for UA-100 Series Plastic Drains by John Patel

It seemed like a good value for a 117 inch drain and I needed a shallow drain for my application. I would like to find another solution for my next application. Here are my problems. Firstly, I really doubt the durability of this product. I cut the bottom round notch pretty deep with a razor and was going to use a hammer to knock it out the wrong way; The body fractured at the bottom and side of the piece, leaving a section as scrap. Second, the floor drain does not connect to a 4 inch PVC pipe in the US - not Sch 40, not DMW, not S&D. S&D is close but not close enough to hold together so I had to use rubber couplers. A 4 inch ribbing might work, but that's not an option in my situation. Finally, they recommend using silicone to attach the bottom hinge and end plates - and some sort of glue is needed as the system doesn't include a dedicated latch/latch. Neither PVC glue nor plastic epoxy will stick to this material so fingers crossed for the silicone, next time I'll stick with the NDS solution.
