No pre-drilled holes
As previously mentioned, there are no pre-drilled holes on the underside of the lower shelf for screwing in L-shaped pieces. The wooden dowels supplied are suitable for this. Keep the shelf steady so you don't have a power tool unless you want to make sure it's super safe for pets, kids, etc. The table wobbles a bit and the handle looks cheap.
