He said he plans to mount this camera on a tripod to solve this problem, but the problem with fireworks is that you don't always know EXACTLY where they're going to appear. This leaves him with the possibility that someone has to move the camera. This camera lacks good image stabilization, which is important for a camera like this. REMOTE CONTROL He said that this camera needs some work to get the remote to respond and coordinate with the fireworks. He said he was struggling with this so he needed some time to see if he could come up with a method that would make it work for him. He has a friend he's trying to teach how to use it. effectively. The problem is that if you shake the camera at all when switching, the fireworks go down in the shake. CONCLUSION This camera seems like a good idea, but for night shots and fireworks the lack of stabilization makes it a nuisance for my son who got it for. He will still try to see if he can make it. Until then, he really can't use it much. MY RATING IS THREE STARS. I want it to be easier to use. It seemed like the perfect solution for filming fireworks at various locations around the field when our son is doing his special shows. It doesn't really work at the moment due to image stabilization and remote issues.
