I use it to raise my laptop to a more comfortable viewing height. (I use a wireless keyboard-mouse combo, so I basically don't need access to my laptop keyboard.) I like the mesh top, which allows for good airflow inside the laptop. This stand has plenty of surface area — my 17-inch laptop doesn't get crowded or hangs on the sides — and a good height, about five inches from the desk, leaving just enough under-drawer space for notepads and glasses without getting in the Path. with drawer, pull-out or pull-out. I can also slide the wireless keyboard underneath to remove it (the mouse fits in the side shelf). The frame itself had a few odd spot welds/holes when it arrived, but it's all cosmetic and nothing to really get in the way of my appreciation. I wish there was a bill holder on the left like there is on the right. There's definitely a place for it, I have no idea why they didn't just put it on either side. I like using it to charge my Fitbit as the USB charging cable is very short and now fits nicely in the side slot when charging. I can also charge my phone the same way. Overall it's sturdy and functional for everything I bought it for , I'm glad I found it at a good price.
