This plug also doubles as a backup plug to use in my office. I've been using it for several weeks now. Here are some of my observations: 1. The connector inside the tablet is longer than the socket on the tablet itself. My tablet has a metal connector about 1/8 inch that extends past the end of the connector. It looks like it's mostly a design issue. Because of this, I don't use this connector very often. 2. After being plugged in for a while, I noticed an intermittent howling sound coming from the plug. It didn't notice any unintended behavior and didn't see any smoke or sparks or excessive heat, but I'll keep an eye on it for a while and use it just in case. So the device works as intended and charges my tablet adequately, I'd say for the money I paid it does what it's supposed to do.
