Review on Heavy Duty Metal Garden Hose Nozzle Sprayer - 4 High Pressure Watering Modes For Plants, Lawns, Car Washing, Patio & Pet Care by Luis Neels

Broken after 3 months. spray settings aren't super functional.

I go through a lot of hoses and nozzles every season so I decided to upgrade to higher duty metal hoses and spray nozzles. Initially, I really liked this spray nozzle -- it is heavy and feels well made. I have not had any issue with it leaking at the connection points, which is a common issue with cheaper spray nozzles.I quickly identified some functionality issues however. The spraying settings are a bit less than ideal, I can't readily explain it, but I prefer the settings on my cheap plastic spray nozzles. The 'shower' has too wide of a diameter (if that makes sense?) and has an excessively high water velocity. If you are trying to be stingy with water and specifically water certain plants or pots, you have to be an inch from the dirt to accurately water a single plant and the high water velocity disrupts the soil. Any further away and you very effectively water around the plant or the leaves of the plant but not the soil. Anyone who actually understands plants knows that it is best not to water the leaves. otherwise you encourage mold, disease and sun burn. I end up exclusively using just the 'full' setting so I can directly water the drip line but it honestly does a poor job of actually saturating the soil. I immediately noticed that my plants started looking water deprived when I switched to this nozzle, even if my watering practices were unchanged. Luckily, I finished an elaborate drip irrigation system for the majority of my plants and only water newly planted specimens and those in pots with this so it is less of an issue. But if you actually have to use it -- it isn't super plant friendly, in my opinion. Most importantly-- 3 months in to fairly light use, the on/off valve in the nozzle has become stuck and it just continuously sprays water regardless of whether or not the h

Pros
  • I have a auto body shop and it gets used a lot
Cons
  • May be too powerful for delicate surfaces
