I was looking for a girly macbook sleeve for my wife's macbook pro when I came across this one. I preferred to have something sleek and colorful that my wife liked and that had a minimal price tag. We received the case and are happy with it. You are not looking for a keyboard protector, it was included. The outer shell was smooth plastic. The case offers good protection for an expensive MacBook. The installation went smoothly as expected. The edges are even, there are no rough edges. Some non-traditional USB-C hubs might give you a headache because of the space. But I suspect this will be a problem for many regular users who don't connect hubs. To be honest the weight of the laptop hasn't changed after installing the cover, it feels the same. The thickness of the case is also a big plus as the looks of the laptop aren't spoiled even with the addition of this case. While we weren't looking for a keyboard protector, there is one. This was the only problem with my wife's laptop. The keyboard doesn't fit. Four stars due to a keyboard issue. I would definitely recommend this to my friend in no time. Its my fault. I didn't notice the supported MAC model. This is why CASE works (since the MACBOOK PRO 2016 has the same form factor), but there are differences in the keyboard cover. So I had a problem.
