Lids don't fit jars, don't cork them!
The lids in the photo are not the ones that came with the jars I received. The lids I received are of the Broadband Mason Jar type. You can see that the lids pictured above have a narrow band, just like a can of tomato paste usually has. Suffice it to say that the lids attached to the jars do not stand up to close scrutiny. The glass lid I borrowed from the tomato paste jar sealed these jars perfectly. So why send caps that don't fit? This isn't just an accident. This is the result of the "customer comes up shortโ decision.
