My girlfriend says these shorts look like monastery robes. All I know is that they feel great. The drawstring can be tied to hold a pocket full of keys in an emergency, but I usually just leave it open and enjoy the freedom these shorts bring to my day. The combination of this stretchy fabric that's almost entirely modal (similar to cotton in terms of cellulose composition) and a 'barely hidden belt' are killer qualities that have changed my life for the better over the past week. All at a price I would pay again no matter how long they last. UPDATE (above corresponds to X-Large 2-pack): Bought X-Large 3-pack and they are about 13% shorter than X-Large 2-pack, which I think makes them at least one size smaller. What to look out for. UPDATE (3 months): Unfortunately, these shorts didn't hold up to weekly use. I have four pairs rotating, averaging about one wash per pair per week, and they all have four-way crotch holes. Judging by the fact that the rest of the garment wears very well, this seems to be a very poor construction issue, possibly the quality of the thread in the seam. Too bad because these are still my favorite shorts. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them except for (very expensive) disposable clothing.
