Best little portable radio I've ever owned

Amazed at how good this radio is. Didn't think it was possible. What I like: Super sensitive. Clearly received low power college stations, my other radios are struggling to catch up. It has a built in telescopic antenna for very long range signals, but normally there is no need to open the antenna. Direct tuning - Enter the frequency numbers of the station, it goes there. You can also scan, preset. No delay. Normally the sound from a digital tuner has a slight delay. I ran this alongside an old analog FM radio, the audio was in sync. The volume knob is a physical knob, not a digital controller, so there's probably no lag. Nice sound for its size. But the size makes it easy to enjoy the sound while you move. Bigger systems might sound better, but because you can't carry them around as easily, you'll spend less time enjoying the sound. So far I've only used the FM radio function, haven't connected to the phone via Bluetooth and haven't tried the USB port for a flash drive. I unpacked yesterday, if this radio fails in a month I'll come back with 'never mind' but the build quality seems solid, I expect it to hold up. A strange note: the USB charging port is USB Mini, which was widely used ten years ago, now most devices have USB Micro or USB-C. It's possible that these radios are several years old, which is why I wish I had bought them a year ago (edit). A few things: I hate that this device doesn't remember your last setting. Always start with Bluetooth, then you will need to navigate to your station. I mainly use it to listen to an FM station, it would be nice if I just had to turn it on. Also, the included USB battery doesn't last as long as I thought it would.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly dented
