Sturdy and roomy bag

I bought this bag because I needed something to carry my laptop in. I have a protective laptop sleeve that fits perfectly in the pocket of this backpack. (This is a 14 inch laptop.) I can carry my laptop in this backpack with or without a case. It is very comfortable. I also usually carry a 40 ounce water bottle with me. The main compartment offers enough space for it. The laptop compartment is lined to protect your device, but only on the sides. Don't drop it on the floor with a laptop inside! This backpack has two spacious compartments that close with a zipper. durable and appears to hold up over time. I got caught in a downpour while I was at it and it was waterproof. Water was collected from the outside, not absorbed. I don't know if this is a feature designed in this bag but I'm glad it was waterproof as I had my laptop in it! I love that there are two large compartments. They are both as big as the bag so there is enough space to carry my stuff. There is a flat zippered pocket on the front for small items. en like a cell phone. There is also a large pocket at the bottom of the front of the bag which is ideal for carrying power cords, chargers and similar small items. This bag comes with a small zipped pouch secured with a fabric loop inside. I carry my extra batteries in it as they are small and tend to move around and get lost in large pockets. You can also use a pocket for keys or other small items that you need to carry around. There are mesh pockets on the outside of the backpack for carrying water bottles. My water bottle is too big (it's a 40 ounce bottle) but a 16 ounce bottle fits. Or a canned drink or a drink in a small bottle fits in there. There is a handle on the top of the backpack for you to take it with you. It is convenient to take with you when you need to take it from the back seat of your car. The shoulder straps are soft and comfortable. They are adjustable with buckles at the base for a custom fit. I don't have many things that I need to travel. I use this pack for my computer and accessories, e-reader, water bottle, camera, extra batteries. I think this use is perfect for this bag size. I don't think this bag is intended for travel other than an everyday backpack. This isn't the kind of backpack you would stuff with extra clothing for an overnight trip. I think it's a bag for gear you want to take on a plane or things you want to have on hand rather than packing in a suitcase. It would also be a good pack for a student who needs to carry around a laptop, cellphone, some notebooks and accessories like pens or pencils. I recommend it as a student backpack. It also came in handy for me on day trips. It has room for everything I need and I carry a light jacket attached to a lanyard or wrapped around the pack itself. a student who needs a bag that fits a small laptop or other shielded device. The number of pockets seems to be optimal for a backpack of this size. The materials are water resistant, but it was a chance find when I got caught in a downpour. I give it five stars for its solid construction, lots of storage space, and lots of little pockets.
