Exactly what I needed for my Nuvi 1490

I bought a lifetime map download for my Garvin Nuvi 1490 but when I tried to connect it to my computer the computer failed Garmin not seen. Garmin kept saying it wasn't charging, but the USB I used wasn't charging the Garmin. So I bought this USB, it's very thick and strong, well made, not flimsy or flimsy. I connected Garmin to my computer and Garmin immediately started downloading map updates. The next morning my Garmin was fully charged. I wish everything was that easy and convenient. I am very happy with this purchase! Thanks very much!
