lamps are very easy to install, but there is one caveat. DO NOT USE THE MANUFACTURER'S CUTTING TEMPLATE. The cutout size required is 4 inches, the size of the template is almost the same as the overall size of the installed fixture. 4-1/2 inches. Using the template allows the mount NOT to grab the ceiling drywall as it will pass right through the template size hole. Aside from that, it works like a standard home renovation device. I didn't want to knock, that's why the light fell around a star, I had to check the dimensions before proceeding.
