I was wondering why there are so many positive reviews for this little headset. Did KOSS bake a cake at your house or something? So many people liked them that I had to find out for myself, and besides, I was in the market anyway. I love my Audio-technica Bluetooth headsets, but they were missing a few areas that I missed with my old wired headsets that I gave away. So, $30 for it and so many good reviews, why not? I listen to almost everything I like. So I used everything from classical to rap and it all sounded good to very good. The bass isn't as headbanging as some headphones, but it's definitely absent and still adds the punch that most rap songs require. Some people say they haven't heard the subbase, but I can definitely hear it. It might not be the volume you're used to. I still enjoyed rap and R&B. However, if you hear heavy, loud bass then this might not be for you. The clarity of some of the songs here was better than some of the $300 headphones I've tried, no kidding; especially with singing. When listening to Nicole Bass's "Rain," the headphones bring a seriousness to her voice that she tries to convey that you don't hear with other headphones, especially starting at the 23rd second. The separation and sound stage is really good and came across well when listening to classics and songs from the 60's/70's. This is largely to be expected from semi-open headphones, but challenging the best $30 headphones in this range really says something. As said, the highs don't have that brilliance, but they're certainly present and still fun, especially when the soundstage is this good. That aside, the vocals still sound a bit more straightforward and clear with pretty much everything to my ears. I think it's fair to say that these are very good do-it-all headphones. enough clamping force, at least for my head. No thick pads like ear pads, no thick pads. Just a piece of foam separating the ear from the driver and a silicone strip on the bottom of the orthosis. That's all. It's just that with such an easy setup these are already my most comfortable headphones I have lol! These are definitely not the kind of tech headphones you can hear a mouse breathing through in the corner of the studio. No, they're just good headphones; up close, and $30 is stealing. Now I understand.
