I'm a professional photographer, so my image quality requirements are probably a bit higher than the average user. I bought F2D to convert old slide film that I've been keeping for a while. At this price I knew the picture quality wouldn't be top notch. but unfortunately the picture quality of digital calls was nowhere near what I had hoped for. As mentioned, if you just want to convert your slides into digital files for web use and make small prints (4x6), F2D works just fine. But if you're hoping to print crisp, large prints. You will be very disappointed with the picture quality. You have to spend over $500 to get a slide scanner that offers better digital conversion for large, crisp, clean prints. Again, everything depends on your needs and expectations. F2D is great for those who just want to archive slide film. and who are not too concerned about optimal picture quality. Unfortunately I will be returning my block. and who are not too concerned about optimal picture quality.
