First load and it broke

I bought this for my son a few months ago and it was perfect so I bought it for my daughter. She was gone over the summer so she used it for the first time a month ago. The battery, which lasted 3.5 weeks, died at night. After 5 hours of charging, the toothbrush would not turn on. Tried charging it again, first the red light turned green and even though it was plugged in it stayed on. After 8 hours of charging we unplugged it and it still won't turn on. You get what you pay for. It's a piece of junk
