It was actually a good brush but I ended up sending it back. I'm new to lathering with a badger brush, I was expecting the bristles to be softer. They were a bit prickly and irritated my face. Not terrible, just not the smooth experience I was expecting. The brush shed about 5 bristles on the first shave and continued to shed a few bristles with each shave. It may have slowed down over time. I've only had 3 or 4 shaves with it so I don't know if it's fair to say it lost a lot of bristles. Any new brush will likely do this. I returned it for the Parker Silvertip which is a softer type of badger coat and it was much softer with no scratches. He only lost a few hairs on the first shave and after 3 weeks of use only 5 more bristles. So I hope it will be a good brush. This brush was a little stiffer and smaller than Parker's, so it might work better for some.
