This is a beautiful coat and the design is really warm without being bulky. Depending on the style and length, it can look casual or more elegant. Note that my daughter just turned nine and wears size 10 shirts and size 8 jeans, oversized leggings and sweatpants (Target Cat and Jack). She's a little slim and a little above average for her age, but overall a 'typical height' 9-year-old girl.
