Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Ultimate Gaming Laptop Cooler Pad: 17.3 Inch Cooling Pad, Adjustable Height, 5 Quiet Fans, 2 USB Ports for Optimal Performance! by Joe Fulce

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I think I have the wrong model, not cool.

I have this for quiet cooling while gaming. I had never had it before so wasn't sure what I needed or needed etc. But the most important thing above all was the noticeable cooling effect. It was packaged very nicely. When I first held it in my hands, it reminded me of my old childhood toys, the feeling of emptiness, light plastic. The lights are great. I was impressed that the fan LEDs actually get brighter as the fan speed increases, a nice touch. You can turn off the Rainbow Rim LED, but not the fan LED. And external lights only have one mode. I really wanted a version with a full length height adjustment pole as I use it on my lap to hold my laptop on my lap so I don't need separate legs. So it is very convenient when lying in bed or on the couch etc. My 15" laptop fits perfectly on it, only the light bulbs on the sides are really visible. It doesn't rise too much, so that's good. The bumper keeps it in place very well when typing or even gaming, and it can folded down so it's out of the way, getting to what it's actually for, most of these reviews are for a mat with side and center fans, with 2 large fans, both working together at the same speed, you are very quiet and seem to move some air but not much actually. This was confirmed when I played around a bit to warm things up and took a few photos while playing a bit.I then put a cooling pad underneath.Got played a bit further. GPU temps actually went up slightly with the thermal pad underneath. So it wasn't being cooled or even serviced. This made things worse. 2 big fans - bad design for high temperature games or something. I'll probably try again with more fans in different layouts. I think more multi-directional and turbulent air dissipates heat better. Anyway, I don't use it anymore as at least it doesn't help.
