Shame about Plantronics

I had a Plantronics T10 that I used to work from home for a little over a year. Static problems arose almost immediately, some customers have difficulty hearing, the headset is uncomfortable, literally after a year of use, the on / off button stopped working. Their support was no help and offered me a "discount" price no better than what I was able to get here at Revain. Undeterred, I went in search of another phone. Found this one and read the reviews. Some of the reviews made me skeptical as this product is the only product left by some "reviewers" and some of them only have this product and printer ink. I'm well aware that there are places that pay people to write reviews, so I didn't believe some of the rave reviews on here. However, other reviews seemed legitimate and the price was better than Plantronics, so I decided to give it a try. I was working when the package arrived and I immediately connected the phone to the modem on the back replacing the standard phone I was supposed to be using at the same time and it worked straight away. The date and time were already set and this phone couldn't be easier to understand. From the first call I received on this phone, I found I could understand customers much better than I had ever at Plantronics, and even if I had to call another department, I didn't have to strain to understand what they were saying. I asked the first caller how the call sounded to them and they said it sounded good. Much better than the static complaints I've received using Plantronics. Some reviews said the instructions weren't well written, but the ones I got seemed pretty basic. Maybe they printed some new instructions. Everything I need to know is in the little booklet that comes with the kit. The headset is much more comfortable than the Plantronics one. Plantronics would have given me a headache at the end of my shift, but I got through 10 hours without the slightest discomfort from a headset for this phone. This phone also has a digital display that shows you how long you've been online or on the phone. This comes in handy when you're being paid for the time of the call; This way you can easily keep track of how much time you spent on each call. This phone is also more aesthetic. Of course, it's "weird" if you're not used to these types of phones that many of us use from home, but for those who use these types of phones, it just looks better and you shine a lot more options than the Plantronics T10. The mic is adjustable and can be shrunk down to sit neatly on the stand at the end of the day. The mute button is not located above the power button like on the T10, so you don't accidentally hang up when you press the mute button. By the way, I have two laptops that I use while working and this phone is placed right between both laptops. Not a drop of hiss or hum, unlike another phone I've had before that had to be placed as far away from my electronics as possible. This phone can be inches away from not one, but TWO laptops that are on and in use when making a call. The phone is still new so remains to be seen how long it will last, but compared to Plantronics which cost a lot more than this phone, this phone is a lot better for the first few days of use. I wish it was available and if so I knew about it over a year ago, before I bought Plantronics. My concern is that a phone that costs the same as Plantronics will hardly last more than a year and the quality will be worse than this phone which was a lot cheaper. If there is any change in the quality of this phone or its performance I will update this review. But right now I'm really glad my Plantronics is dead. Goodbye, I've found something MUCH better.
