This thing is cut like a big square tent. Check out my attached photo - it doesn't taper to the waist at all. If like me you're of average build, look elsewhere for something that isn't square - two of mine would fit in that circumference. Maybe a medium would fit me better but the sleeves would be a little short as they would be oh so very long (I'm 6ft 2in). The material it's made of is plastic, doesn't breathe at all and doesn't feel great against bare skin - it's like carrying a plastic bag. It LOOKS lovely but don't expect it to look like a product photo - sure they trim the excess fabric from the photo camera to fit it more closely to the model. Actually doesn't fit at all. If you are tall this might suit you.
