Firstly they are VERY sticky so don't worry but DO NOT expect to rip and move them after tightening as this will cause them to curl (internal wires must be damaged). The lights are very delicate and delicate - DO NOT emphasize them too much or the colors will not work properly. I also had BIG trouble getting the colors right when trying to use the "L-shaped corner connectors" so I would NOT do it again! Just run them as a NON BREAKING line at the corners and save yourself a BIG headache - they work well and look good. I've done this and I'm using aluminum ducts with diffusers throughout the living room and you can't even tell the difference - except all the colors are correct now. The BIGGEST problem with these lights is that every time you turn them off they disconnect from wifi! (SEE UPDATE BELOW) That means you have to reconnect them to WiFi every day, otherwise you won't be able to control them with your phone. I have two of these sets and one set (which is in the same room as the other) won't connect now! The Wi-Fi box in the house is in the same room as the light, so distance is NOT an issue. (See UPDATE below.) UPDATE: Turns out you MUST turn on the lights with the remote first. When you do this, they will connect to WiFi and you can control them with your phone. However, you CANNOT turn on the lights using the APP on your phone as they are no longer connected to Wi-Fi, and this is true even if you turned off the lights using your phone the night before. So I've upgraded my rating to 3 stars because the lights work with the app when you turn them on first with the included remote.
