As many people know, HDCP protection makes it impossible for a person to record anything that uses its protection with a digital signal like HDMI. The PlayStation 3 is a little notorious for its HDCP protection covering everything, not just one specific application. This means that recording gameplay from a video game is only possible when (a) using analog signals such as composite and component, (b) using an HDMI 1.4b splitter, or (c) the PS3 HDCP protection through Hacking debugging is removed. I mention this because this device is advertised as compatible with PS3. While technically correct (it displays quite well), I think I should mention that it can't compete with this device, lest those in the know buy it for the wrong reasons, hence the star deducted. want to update the "Customer Service Card" in the field to describe it correctly. At least it has a nice design.
